Q and A

Q: Can you coordinate weddings in other parts of Mexico or only in Ixtapa / Zihuatanejo?
A: We can plan your wedding anywhere in Mexico.  Just let us know well in advance so that we have a chance to do a location scout and site inspection.

Q: Can I hire my own vendors?
A: We work only with the best vendors and guarantee that all the vendors we hire will provide quality service.  We cannot guarantee the services of anyone you choose to hire directly. Therefore we are unable to take responsibility for your   event should you choose to hire direct.

Q: Can I bring my own Judge or minister?
A: If you want to have a legal wedding it must be performed by a local Judge, but you are able to bring your own minister to perform your spiritual or religious wedding.

Q: Can we write our own vows?
A: If you are having a wedding with a minister you are more than welcome to write your own vows.  If you are having a civil service the Judge has fixed vows which we are unable to change.

Q: Can I ship Items to you in advance?
A: Unfortunately we are not able to accept you packages here directly.  Please check with your resort.

Q: Do you make travel and accommodation reservations?
A: No unfortunately we are unable to take care of these plans directly, but we are more than happy to recommend an agency for you.

Q: Can you recommend someone to do our hair and make-up?
A: Yes we work closely with several high quality spas and are happy to recommend one for you.

Q: If we want the legal wedding; how many days before the ceremony do we need to arrive?
A: In order to have the blood tests performed and results delivered we recommend you have at least two full days between the day you arrive and the wedding day. You are however able to do the blood tests at home before you leave, but not more than 2 days before your departure

Q. Do we need to bring any documents with us?
A. We will ask you to send us your birth certificates and divorce decrees in advance.  You will have to bring your tourist cards to our office when you come for your blood tests.  We will let you know if you need to bring copies of anything else with you.

Q. Do I need a passport to enter Mexico?
A. As of January 2007 you will require a passport with at least 6 months of validity left on it in order to be allowed entrance into Mexico.

Q. What if I want to hire my own photographer from outside of Mexico?
A. You may only bring your own photographer if he/she has legal papers to work in Mexico.  We have seen other weddings shut down by immigration for bringing in a photographer without a legal working visa.
